Job Summary
ABOUT THE POSITION:
This position is located at the U.S. Army Test & Evaluation Command, U.S. Army Redstone Test Center, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. The NH-03 band is equal to the GS-12 step 1 through GS-13 step 10. This position is subject to the NH-03 Non-Supervisory Professional / Evaluator / Tester / Analyst control point of the ATEC Control Point Policy at $123,816.00 per year. (Includes locality pay)
Job Responsibilities
• Participate in the development and implementation of research, development, and life cycle test plans and specifications which describe the number and types of tests (e.g., missile flight, static, environmental, dynamics, component, system, etc.) and hardware requirements.
• Monitor program execution for deviations from proposed costs and baselined test requirements and schedules.
• Establish and implement a communication plan between the customer, Army Test and Evaluation Command, and RTC to provide information and encourage problem solving in matters of cost, schedule, and performance.

To qualify, you must meet the education and experience requirements described below. Your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this position.
Specialized Experience: One year specialized experience which includes: experience in multidisciplinary engineering principles; concepts and practices with emphasis on testing of components and assemblies of weapon systems and subsystems; knowledge of testing techniques and documentation; design setup and operation of special electro-mechanical test fixtures used to gather test data on aviation and missile systems; and skill to plan, design, execute, and report on complex test projects missile, aviation, and sensor systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH-02 (GS-11).
You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency (knowledge, skills, abilities) in the following areas:
• Skill in planning, execution, and reporting of complex test projects
• Ability to coordinate testing of aviation & weapon systems
• Skill in problem solving
• Ability to communicate
Conditions of Employment:
1. Must meet suitability for Federal Employment.
2. Will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
3. Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must complete a Pre-employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
4. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
5. May be required to serve a 2-year probationary period.
6. This position is subject to acquisition certification. Employee must obtain and maintain required Acquisition Certification Level III in Test and Evaluation within 24 months after selection.
7. This is a Career Program (CP) 16 position.
8. Incumbent must submit an annual Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450.
