Job Summary

This is a developmental assignment opportunity for two NH-02 or NH-03 (GS10-13 equivalent) DA Civilians to gain experience as Program Analysts in the Operations Division of G-3/5/7 Safety Directorate, ATEC Schedule and Resource (ASR) Team in U.S. Army Testing and Evaluation Command (ATEC) Headquarters (HQ).

The ASR team is responsible for chairing the Test Schedule and Review Committee (TSARC).  Selected candidates will be trained as needed to support the internal and external submission processes through which Test Resource Plans are resourced.  They will learn how to manage Requests for Test Services, Requests for Acquisition Support, Informational products and a variety of special projects that relate to the Business Information commodity area. This role will also provide insight to leaders at the 4-Star Command level by working directly with FORSCOM and HQDA as well as across the ATEC 2-Star Command.

Duration: This is a developmental assignment for a period of up to 120 days.

Eligibility: Current federal employees (Dept. of Army Civilians). Must have active Secret clearance.
Knowledge of or Experience in Test and Evaluation, Developmental Testing, and Operational Testing preferred.


Area of Consideration: (Internal) ATEC-wide. APG tenant organizations within the Aberdeen Proving Ground footprint (North and South area).

Funding: Salary and benefits will be the responsibility of the parent organization. Any overtime incurred due to developmental assignment must be coordinated between the host and parent organization supervisors in advance.

Work Schedule: Alternate work schedules must be communicated and approved by both host and parent organization supervisors.

Telework/Remote Work: Telework eligible IAW ATEC’s telework policy to be able to work on-site twice during a pay period. Mandatory on-site workday may be established after selection. When mission requires, candidates must be able to come in to support SECRET level meetings.

TDY: Less than 10%. The parent organization will fund the TDY to the duty location. The host organization will fund any additional TDY incurred during assignment.

Resources: IT support and facility access will be provided by the host organization.

3. Provide insight to leaders at the 4-Star Command level by working directly with FORSCOM and HQDA as well as across the ATEC 2-Star Command.

4. Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Qualification

1.No prior experience or knowledge required. However, knowledge of or experience in Test and Evaluation, Developmental Testing, and Operational Testing preferred. Training will be provided as needed on the job.

2. Positive education requirements are not required for this position.

3.Candidates must possess a Secret clearance and ability to maintain during assignment.
