Job Summary

The United States Army Test and Evaluation Command is posting this advertisement for the subject position above under the Major Range and Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) Direct-Hire Authority. The chosen candidate will serve as an Operations Research Analyst supporting the Resources Management Directorate, Yuma Proving Ground, Yuma, AZ. A selection will be made soon after the closing date. Selection of this position will be made at the NH-1515-03* (GS13) grade level.

*There is NO immediate pay change with a reassignment if selected.

ATEC uses salary control points within the salary range to allow for differentiation in the level of positions within the same broadband. Therefore, this position will be set at the control point Senior Operations Research Analyst with a salary set no higher than $128,043 with locality pay.

Job Responsibilities

As an Operations Research Analyst you will:

  • Serves as an operations research analyst responsible for leading research and analysis efforts of programs, workload, and financial data in support of the organization's mission.
  • Utilizes a knowledge of and working proficiency in operations research systems analysis (ORSA) concepts and practices to accomplish tasks that support cost effective decision making.
  • Completes program analyses and development of alternative courses of action for senior leaders.
  • Provide independent analysis on program efficiency and cost benefits as required.
  • Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively to senior leaders through verbal, narrative, and graphical means.
  • Responsible for coordinating and overseeing program or process improvements.

Degree: in operations research; or at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus.

Conditions of Employment
