PLACE OF WORK:

Dugway Proving Ground is seeking applicants with an Open Architecture Data Management (OADMS) background to work in the Test Instrumentation Branch of the Data Sciences Division on Dugway Proving Ground, UT. Dugway Proving Ground is approximately 50 minutes from Tooele, Utah, and 90-minute drive from Salt Lake City, Utah. Job Responsibilities

Serves as the Open Architecture Data Management (OADMS) Program Manager in the conduct of any of the major areas of testing, i.e., smoke obscurants, chemical, biological, artillery and mortar munitions, developmental, engineering, and special programs with lead responsibility for the direction of OADMS system configuration and operation in assigned areas to include safety of test personnel, test data acquisition and transfer, and responsibility of equipment and resources. As project leader, reports to the supervisor weekly on team and individual work accomplishments, problems, progress in mastering tasks and work processes, and individual and team training needs.

Specialized Experience

EXPERIENCE: In order to qualify, you must meet the requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

SPECIALZED EXPERIENCE FOR THE GS-13: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Working with an Open Architecture Data Management System in a testing environment; 2) Managing test resources (such as manpower and funds); AND 3) Validating test data. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

HOW YOU WILL BE EVALUATED. You will be evaluated based on your level of competency in the following areas:

  • Knowledge of Chemical and Biological Defense (CBD) and testing associated with CB acquisition programs
  • Written/Oral Communication
