Job Summary

About the Position: Management will set the selectee's pay for this position within the salary range consistent with the qualifications and education of the selectee and the expected contribution for the position. This position is subject to the NH-03 salary control point of the ATEC CCAS Business Rules. So therefore the salary will not exceed $113,910, equivalent GS-12.

Job Responsibilities

• Serves as an organizational technical expert on optical and imaging software/systems; trajectory tracking and measurement; and application of advanced instrumentation sub-systems required for tests dealing with optical data collection, review, storage, retrieval, and release. Carries outs design tasks involving state-of-the-art optical instrumentation; develops new and novel imaging techniques for application to current optical test measurement systems required for range and laboratory test programs; and guides and coordinates the work of other engineers, technicians, and support personnel involved in development of optical instrumentation. Uses scientific and engineering methods to troubleshoot, analyze, and evaluate technical challenges associated with image acquisition, image analysis, and optical hardware; and provides efficient, effective, and feasible solutions for meeting project requirements and constraints. Attends conferences and professional meetings with other government agencies and private industry on technical matters related to optical/imaging test support, design, and fabrication.
