Job Responsibilities

 

Serves as an advisor to the directorate with respect to all cybersecurity issues an test projects. Performs Assess and Authorize (A&A) duties for all directorate Information Systems (IS) and networks. 

Validates that all systems and networks conform and are approved by configuration management policies and practices before operating or authorizing the use of hardware and software on an US or network infrastructure.

Restores data, conducts Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) scans and anti-virus scans and evaluates validity and compatibility for subject networks and workstations and installs appropriate updates, removes computer viruses, and trains automation points of contact in information security as necessary. 
 

Performs A&A duties for all associated IS and networks IAW RMF and configuration management policies and practices.

Serves as a technical expert and project manager for IT Systems both current and future that are in use or planned for use by Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC), OTC, and AMDTD.

Specialized Experience

 

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Performing Assess and Authorize (A&A) duties for all associated IS and Networks IAW Risk Management Framework and configuration management policies; and 2) Evaluating the effectiveness and implementing solutions to safeguard classified private, and other sensitive data of systems, devices, procedures, and methods; and 3) Planning, designing, and assuring proper execution of IT projects.

Conditions of Employment

 

- Must obtain and maintain Information Assurance Certification and computing environment certifications per Army Policy and DoD Directive.

- Must obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance.

- This position has been identified as IAW AR 600-85 under the Civilian Drug Abuse Testing Program. Accordingly, as a condition of employment, the incumbent is required to undergo urinalysis testing at the discretion of the commander or supervisor, and sign a “Condition of Employment for Certain Civilian Positions Identified as Critical under the Drug Abuse Testing Program.

- Temporary Duty Travel up to 10% may be required.
