PLACE OF WORK: This Interdisciplinary Evaluator/Test Integrator position is located at the U.S. Army Evaluation Center, Ballistic Missile Defense Evaluation Directorate (BMDED), with a duty location of Schriever Air Force Base, Colorado.
 

Job Responsibilities

Serves as an evaluator within AEC/BMDED plans, programs, coordinates, an excutes independent operational tests and assesesments for the Ballistic Missile Defence System (BMDS). BMED serves as U.S. ARMY Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC) Systm Team (AST) Chair for all Missile Defense Agency (MDA) element transitioning to the U.S ARMY and supportss MDA test execution of integrated Developmental Test/Operational Test (DT/OT) and OT events.
 
  • Performs a broad range of test and evaluation analyses on the BMDS and other assigned weapon systems.
  • Plans, programs, coordinates, and executes independent operational tests and assessments and establishes evaluation strategies.
  • Performs a broad range of test and evaluation analyses on the Ballistic Missile and Defense System (BMDS).
  • Responsible for the overall evaluation integration of the system, to include technical performance in critical areas and design stability and maturity. 
  • Responsible for the development of test execution (planning through data delivery) to include modeling and simulation, developmental test input, and test and evaluation planning.
  • Responsible for integrating all ATEC test and evaluation activities and to synchronize all AST products.
  • Responsible for generating Safety Releases (SRs) in support of testing involving Soldiers and Safety Confirmations (SCs) in support of equipping, fielding and milestone decisions for assigned systems and ensuring safety is addressed in evaluation reports.

Specialized Experience

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
 
One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Performing a broad range of analysis on assigned weapons systems to include modeling and simulation (M&S); 2) Assisting in planning and or conducting operational tests and assessments of weapon systems; and 3) Working with teams to develop test and evaluation plans.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02 or GS-11).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required specialized experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using specialized experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

  • This position is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) and is subject to applicant testing and random drug testing in accordance with DA guidelines.

  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Test and Evaluation Certification within 60 months of entrance on duty.
  • This position is subject to a Temporary Duty or business travel requirement of 20% or less of the time.
