Job Summary
Multiple vacancies can be filled by this announcement. The positions are located within the Test Program Integration Directorate (TPID), at the US Army Redstone Test Center (RTC).
RTC participates in an alternate personnel system known as the Acquisition Demonstration Project, AcqDemo. Among other features, AcqDemo replaces GS grade levels with occupational families and pay bands.
The NH-04, band is equal to the GS-14 step 1 through GS-15 step 10. However, the position is subject to the NH-04, Non-Supervisory Professional/Evaluator/Tester/Analyst control point policy of the US Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC) Control Point Policy, $166,147 per year, includes locality. Job Responsibilities
1. Plans, coordinates, review, evaluate and provide expert engineering and technical advice with aviation, missiles, and sensors weapons systems.
2. Represents the Command and RTC during the initial planning and design phase of the development test program.
3. Participates in the development and implementation of research and development and life cycle test plans and specifications.
4. Develops schedules for the planning of the various test programs to ensure the most economical and technically sound approach, and facilities).
5. Reviews and evaluates contractor test documentation to ensure that tests conducted and data obtained are valid and are used to satisfy test requirements.
6. Represents RTC/ATEC on Test and Evaluation Integrated Process/Product Teams (T&E IPTs), Source Selection Evaluation Boards, and other committees/groups as the test and evaluation authority/technical expert for the assigned aviation, sensor, or missile weapons systems and subsystems.
Job Qualification
Applicants must meet the following to qualify for the NH-04: One year of specialized experience in or directly related to this position that equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. To be creditable, the required specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the Federal service.
Specialized Experience
Five years of specialized experience, with at least a year equivalent to NH-03, overseeing the initiation, planning, execution, reporting, and retirement phases of developmental testing of aviation, missile, and sensor components and systems.
