Job Summary
The United States Army Test and Evaluation Command is posting this advertisement to fill a current vacancy. The chosen candidate will serve as an Interdisciplinary (Operations Research Analyst 1515 or Computer Scientist 1550 or General Engineer 0801) supporting the Engineering Support Branch Optics Team, Instrumentation Division within Yuma Test Center, Yuma, AZ. A selection will be made soon after the closing date. Selection of this position is permanent and will be made at the NH-03 grade level.
*The NH-03 band is equal to the GS-12 step 01 through GS-13 step 10. There is no change in pay for within band reassignments.
Job Responsibilities
As an Interdisciplinary (Operations Research Analyst 1515/ Computer Scientist 1550 /General Engineer 0801), you will:
- Independently or as a team member, plan, organize, direct and coordinate technical projects to advance the capabilities of instrumentation systems.
- Plan, design, develop, and integrate firmware, software, and hardware using engineering, physics (Optics), mathematics, and/or computer technology tools.
- Continually modernize and refine various instrumentation and data acquisition capabilities, ensuring compliance with evolving mission requirements while maintaining technical contact with other entities (e.g. Government and non-government agencies, contractors, universities, etc.)
- Act as Subject Matter Expert for Instrumentation and Testing related questions both internal and externally.
