The U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC) is participating in an alternate personnel system known as the Acquisition Demonstration Project (AcqDemo).Among other features, the Demonstration Project replaced GS grade levels with occupational families and pay bands. The band NH-03 is equal to the former GS-12 Step 01 through GS-13 step 10. ATEC uses salary control points to allow for differentiation in the level of positions within the same broadband. Therefore, the salary for this position will be set no higher than $115,079 including locality.

-The U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command has various incentives that may be available for highly qualified candidates. These include Recruitment Incentives, Relocation Incentives, Student Loan Repayment, and Credit for Leave Accrual. Incentives may be authorized IAW agency policy.

Job Responsibilities

Serve as advisor for all operations pertaining to Information Assurance (IA) in the command to include development, planning, oversight, administration, management, implementation, and enforcement.

Ensure command IT systems meet all established requirements, to include DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF).

Responsible for the Cybersecurity analysis, review, staffing, coordination, and integration of capability proposals for all Configuration Control Board (CCB) portfolios environment requests.

Supervise a team of IT Specialists to plan, execute, acquire, implement, and document requirements for resources and services related to Cybersecurity.

Specialized Experience

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. One year of specialized experience which includes:

1) Applying cybersecurity principles and/or concepts to support the protection of information; and 2) Identifying vulnerabilities to make recommendations for correction; and 3) Advising on cybersecurity policy and/or guidance.

Conditions of Employment

Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
This position is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) and is subject to applicant testing and random drug testing in accordance with DA guidelines.
Must obtain and maintain information assurance certification and computing environment certifications per Army and DoD Directive 8140.01.
This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Engineering and Technical Management Certification within 60 months of Entry on Duty.
