Job Summary
This position is designated as Key Leadership Position (KLP), which is a subset is a Critical Acquisition Position (CAP), the selectee must meet all required KLP certification standards at the time of assignment or have an approved waiver signed by the Army Acquisition Executive (AAE). This critical acquisition position requires Practitioner Level certification in the Acquisition Functional Area of TEST AND EVALUATION (T&E).
Job Responsibilities
- The Chief, Test and Evaluation Office serves as ATEC's senior authority for delivering agile, risk-informed test and evaluation support to Army, DoW, and Joint Acquisition Executives, directing billion-dollar campaigns of learning that shape acquisition and force-development decisions. Operating as a principal advisor to the ATEC Commanding General, the executive synchronizes enterprise-wide test and evaluation efforts, influences policy at the Army, DoD, and Congressional levels, ensures unified support across all ATEC organizations and ranges, and collaborates with other Army and DoW analytic organizations to support system lifecycles. The role leads senior PAE integrators, oversees key personnel decisions, drives workforce development and organizational performance, and champions diversity and EEO principles. Additionally, the position represents ATEC in high-level national and international forums, providing expert guidance in test design, statistical experimentation, and strategic evaluation matters.
