Job Summary

About the Position:White Sands Missile Range is a unique tri-service facility for test, evaluation, research, and assessment of military systems and commercial products. The range is located in the Tularosa Basin of south-central New Mexico 30 miles east of Las Cruces, New Mexico, and 45 miles north of El Paso, Texas. Job Responsibilities

• Serves as test conductor, test coordinator, test team leader, and mission controller. Utilizes a practical knowledge of the construction, operation and limitations of a variety of types and models of electronic and related equipment including acquisition radars, target illuminator radars, guided missiles, ground fire control equipment, manned and unmanned targets and instrumentation and applies this knowledge and operating experience to the actual planning, organizing, scheduling and coordination of test operations and mission control functions. Meets with superior to discuss activity of the section, workload data, problems encountered and recommends changes in policy and procedures to able the operation to be carried out more efficiently.
