Dugway Proving Ground is seeking applicants for s Summer Hire to work as Engineering Technicians on Dugway Proving Ground, UT. Dugway Proving Ground is approximately 50 minutes from Tooele, Utah, and 90-minute drive from Salt Lake City, Utah. The United States Army Test and Evaluation Command is posting this advertisement for the subject position above under the Major Range and Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) Direct-Hire Authority.
Job Responsibilities
Abstracts and compiles data from a limited variety of sources such as drawings, specifications, commercial catalogs, organization records, etc.
Operates simple test instruments and controls, and records data.
Performs specified mathematical computations using standard formulas.
Reduces data and plots data for inclusion in reports.
Performs routine fabrications operations in support of engineering functions.

Specialized Experience
EXPERIENCE: In order to qualify, you must meet the requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Experience for the GS-4: In order to be found qualified, your resume must reflect at least six months of general experience in engineering science or a related field, and six months of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-03 grade/level position in the federal service performing technical work in: drafting, surveying construction estimating, physical science, mathematics, aerospace, architecture, chemicals, electrical or mechanical systems, mining, petroleum, or nuclear systems.
OR
SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE for GS-04: Applicants may substitute the following education for the required experience, provided it demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position: successful completion of a full 2-year course of study above high school, that included at least 12 semester hours in any combination of courses such engineering, engineering or industrial technology, construction, physics, drafting, surveying, physical science, or mathematics. (TRANSCRIPTS MUST BE PROVIDED).
FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university. Conditions of Employment
