ABOUT THE POSITION: 

 

This is a 90-day developmental assignment opportunity announcement for up to three high performing, GS-11/12 or NH-03 Civilian employees to gain experience as a Data Analytics Team Lead, within the Data Processing Branch of the Instrumentation Division located at U.S. Army, Yuma Proving Ground, AZ. All eligible YPG Civilian employees from ATEC may apply.

Job Responsibilities

Serves as Data Analytics Team Lead within the Data Processing Branch of the Instrumentation Division, with the following responsibilities: 

  • Leads the activities of six data management professionals (GS-11 represents the base level of work led). 
  • Manage priorities for contractor staff and coordinate with contract when surge support/cross-utilization is required.
  • Assigns work for subordinates based on program/event priority, difficulty of analysis, and employee abilities. 
  • Provides technical oversight for all data products.
  • Develops and executes team training plan.
  • Evaluates and documents work performance of team. 
  • Manages the Data Processing budget. 
  • Meets and coordinates with customer agency personnel and Test Officers to develop resources, methods, procedures, and plans to accomplish analytical support required. 
  • Establishes and maintains contact with other agencies for technical advancements in data analytics processes and digital transformation.

Internal YPG ATEC DA Civilians; high-performing employees in NH-0801/1515/1550/1560 or 2210-03 or GS 0801/1515/1550/1560/2210-11/12. GS11’s must have at least one year time in grade as a GS-0801/1515/1550/1560 or 2210-11.
