PLACE OF WORK:

Dugway Proving Ground is seeking applicants with a background in vehicle inventory control to work in the Logistics Office on Dugway Proving Ground, UT. Dugway Proving Ground is approximately 50 minutes from Tooele, Utah, and 90-minute drive from Salt Lake City, Utah. The United States Army Test and Evaluation Command is posting this advertisement for the subject position above under the Major Range and Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) Direct-Hire Authority. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Serves as the Transportation Officer in the Logistics Office, responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating, the administration, operation, utilization, maintenance, inspection, and inventory control of the non-tactical vehicle fleet.
  • Research, track, and compile a variety of statistical reports, in regard to mileage, maintenance, vehicle mileage.
  • Prepare performance data for workload of the work center. conducts studies of data for supervisor and higher echelons.
  • Develops and prepares the test center policies and procedures pertaining to the Vehicle Operations mission.
  • Management and administration of Army Master Driver Program. Ensure operators are trained and licensed in accordance with Army Regulations.

Specialized Experience

EXPERIENCE: In order to qualify, you must meet the requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

 

SPECIALZED EXPERIENCE FOR THE GS-11: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Supporting the analysis of requirements and justifications for vehicles needed in support of an installation's organization or mission; 2) fleet management to include dispatch and maintenance scheduling; and 3) applying transportation policy, doctrine, public laws, rules and/or regulatory requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

OR

Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in accounting, business administration, business or commercial law, commerce, economics, engineering, finance, industrial management, statistics, traffic management, transportation, motor mechanics, or other fields related to the position. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)

OR

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. (Not: You must submit a copy of your transcripts).

 

FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
