Job Summary
Job Responsibilities
- Serves as a senior safety advisor in assigned Safety Program areas, which could include Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Chemical, Biological Safety, and Radiological Nuclear Safety or other areas identified as part of the Army Safety Program.
- Evaluates and interprets Safety Program guidance in Codes, regulations and standards. Develops policies, plans, and guidance for assigned Program areas, and implements methods to execute and evaluate their success.
- Inspects Subordinate Activities for compliance with standards and objectives in assigned Safety Program areas.
- Prepares briefings, reports and other documentation for leadership, and briefs assigned topics. Drafts policies and regulations to meet compliance requirements.
- Supports and serves on Department of the Army and Department of Defense committees and working groups supporting the development of policies or programs in assigned Safety areas. Represents the Command in these forums.

Conditions of Employment
- This position requires the incumbent to be able to obtain and maintain a determination and eligibility for a secret security clearance, or access, for the duration of employment
- This position requires temporary duty travel (TDY) up to 20% of the time
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
- A trial/probationary period may be required.
- You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
- Direct deposit of pay is required.
- This is a Career Program (CP) 12 position.
- Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.
- Multiple positions may be filled using this announcement.
- Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement.
