Operations Research Analyst (ORSA) - 1515
Computer Science (CS) - 1550
The chosen candidate will serve as a General Engineer/ORSA/CS supporting the Technology & Investment Directorate, Investment Division, Yuma, AZ. A selection will be made soon after the closing date. Selection of this position will be made at NH-03* (May be hired at GS12 or GS13 equivalent depending on qualifications).
*There is NO immediate pay change with a reassignment if the employee is currently an NH-03 in AcqDemo.
Job Responsibilities
As General Engineer/ORSA/CS you will:
- Examine and report on a wide variety of operational, technical, or managerial problems employing, where applicable, engineering principles, risk analysis, mathematical modeling, statistical analysis, and economic analysis to establish alternatives and their probable consequences to Command as an aid to the decision-making process.
- Identify areas for potential improvement in the technical, operational, or managerial processes using engineering, physics, mathematics, and/or computer technology to conduct systems analyses and/or technical studies.
- Direct, participates in, or monitor preparation of technical plans and operational procedures pertaining to mid- and long-range resource requirements in support of YPG programs for the accomplishment of the YPG mission.
- Use extensive knowledge and experience concerning R&D testing of weapon systems, instrumentation, and computer technology. Maintain technical contact with other Government and non-government agencies, contractors, universities, etc.
- Represent the organization at technical meetings, symposia and conferences to discuss technical requirements, technical advances, policies and proposals.

Conditions of Employment
- This position may require occasional TDY 10% or more.
- Must obtain and maintain secret security clearance.
- This is a Defense Acquisition Workforce (AWF) position. The employee must meet the DoDI 5000.66requirements applicable to the Career Category/Functional Area and the Career Level Certification assigned on the sequenced position Conditions of Employment data fields in the header of the PD/PRD. This position requires the Practitioner Career Level II Certification to be completed within 5 years.
