Job Responsibilities

  • Serves as an expert in one or more essential technology areas including instrumentation, live-virtual-constructive simulation environments, real-time casualty assessment, technology integration, data collection devices, and net-centric systems.
  • Develops concepts, designs, requirements, and specifications utilizing expertise in electronics, computer science, avionics, digital signal processing, mechanics, physical science, and/or electro-optics.
  • Coordinates systems engineering, funding, and acquisition support efforts for appropriate technology support to the test mission, prevention of duplication among test directorates, and efficient expenditure of both manpower and dollar resources.
  • Provides review, oversight, and problem solving for test technology support activities, including verification, validation, and accreditation activities; preparation activities in direct support to operational tests; and test execution.
  • Serves as Deputy to the Director of the Test Technology Directorate (TTD). Serves as acting Director during absence of the Director.
