PLACE OF WORK: U.S. Army Operational Test Command (OTC), Fort Cavazos, TX
OTC is participating in an alternate personnel system known as the Acquisition Demonstration Project (AcqDemo). Among other features, the demonstration project replaced GS grade levels with occupational families and pay bands. The band NH-04 is equal to the former GS-14 Step 01 through GS-15 step 10. OTC uses salary control points to allow for differentiation in the level of positions within the same broadband. Therefore, the salary for this position will be set no higher than $180,674 including locality.
OTC has various incentives that may be available for highly qualified candidates, including recruitment incentives, relocation incentives, student loan repayment, and credit for leave accrual. Incentives may be authorized IAW agency policy.

Job Responsibilities
Serves as Deputy Director for the Test Technology Directorate (TTD). Serves as acting Director during absence of the Director.
Serves as an expert in one or more essential technology areas including instrumentation, live-virtual-constructive simulation environments, real-time casualty assessment, technology
integration, data collection, devices, and net-centric systems.
Develops testing concepts, designs, requirements, and specifications utilizing expertise in electronics, computer science, avionics, digital signal processing, mechanics, physical science,
and/or electro-optics.
Coordinates systems engineering, funding, and acquisition support efforts for appropriate technology support to the test mission, prevention of duplication among test directorates, and
efficient expenditure of both manpower and dollar resources.
Provides review, oversight, and problem solving for test technology support activities in direct support to operational tests and test execution.

Operations Research - 1515 series

Ability obtain and maintain eligibility for a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance and subject to the civilian drug abuse testing program.
This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology Critical Acquisition Position. Selectee must meet requirements for Test and Evaluation certification within 60 months of entrance on duty and complete a 3-year continued service agreement.
This position is subject to a temporary duty (TDY)/business travel requirement of 25% or less of the time, including travel by military or commercial aircraft during TDY.
Duties require possession of or ability to obtain and maintain a valid state driver's license in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles, and any installation and/or Department of Defense license required if/when driving any government vehicles.
