The United States Army Test and Evaluation Command is posting this advertisement to fill current vacancies. The chosen candidates will serve as an IT Specialist (Data Management) within the Data Processing Branch, Instrumentation Division at Yuma Test Center in Yuma, AZ.  A selection will be made soon after the closing date. Selection is permanent and will be made at the GS-11 grade level.

      As an IT Specialist, you will:

• Process data from instrumentation systems using established or new methods and deliver it to the Test Officer.  Data types can be optical, radar, sensor, and others.
• Analyze data and identify anomalies.  Interface with field technicians to troubleshoot and resolve data discrepancies.
• Combine data sets from multiple sources and perform comparative analysis.
• Write and update documented data processing procedures.

Experience:

Experience must be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate.

Individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.

4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
