Job Summary

Serves as the principal Executive Assistant supporting the Office of the Commander and performs a wide variety of administrative and clerical duties.   Coordinates closely with members of the organization in support of a wide range of activities within the agency.

ATEC uses salary control points within the salary range to allow for differentiation in the level of positions within the same broadband. Therefore, the salary for the position will be set no higher than $97,925.00 with locality pay.
 

Job Responsibilities

Provides direct executive administrative support to the Command Group in the planning, operations, and execution of developmental tests.
Responsible for the performance and coordination of all administrative management and procedural functions for the Command Group.
Establish priorities for appointments, meeting invitations and representation.
Determine nature of communication across all levels, such as official, personal or semi-official correspondence.
Communicate both over the phone and in person to all visitors requesting information or looking for guidance.
Coordinate arrangements for conferences, such as location, agendas, attendance lists and meeting materials for command staff.
Receives and reviews incoming correspondence, directives, and publications 
Uses varied functions of multiple office automation software to produce a wide range of documents, formats, etc

Specialized Experience

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience, which includes using individual judgment to manage calendars/schedules for organizational leadership based on discussions and/or review of correspondence, such as meeting requests or social invitations; screening incoming correspondence/reports determining which staff member should receive items; ensuring outgoing correspondence is procedurally and grammatically correct; preparing official, semi-official, and personal correspondence; creating suspense/tracking files to ensure items of action are completed. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-07/NK-02.

Conditions of Employment

Position requires incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance throughout the duration of employment.
Position requires travel away from the normal duty station (up to 5% of the time).
Position requires the skill of a qualified typist.
