Job Summary

PLACE OF WORK:
U.S. Army Operational Test Command (USAOTC), Fort Bliss, TX
ATEC is participating in an alternate personnel system known as the Acquisition Demonstration Project (AcqDemo). Among other features, the demonstration project replaced GS grade levels with occupational families and pay bands. The band NH-03 is equal to the former GS-12 Step 01 through Step 10. OTC uses salary control points to allow for differentiation in the level of positions within the same broadband. Therefore, the salary for this position will be set no higher than $107,680 including locality.
ATEC has various incentives that may be available for highly qualified candidates, including recruitment incentives, relocation incentives, student loan repayment, and credit for leave accrual. Incentives may be authorized IAW agency policy.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide consultation and direct automated data acquisition (DAQ) instrumentation support for test projects managed by personnel of the team.
- Serve as a highly skilled electronics technician and instrumentation specialist responsible for the design, testing, evaluation, and implementation of advanced test instrumentation for the acquisition of performance data.
- Serve as the principal point of contact for all technical and operational matters relating to automated data acquisition (DAQ) systems and general instrumentation.
- Represent organization at conferences, meetings and symposiums at OTC Headquarters, Program Executive Offices, other government agencies, and contractor facilities.
- Provide consultation support for test directors, test officers, and other technicians in the team in the planning, organization, coordination, resolving conflicts, and conduct of technical and operational test projects managed.
- Conduct market research prepares detailed cost estimates, milestones, and evaluates contract performance as needed.
- Provide Contracting Officer Representative (COR) functions.

Conditions of Employment
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
