Job Summary

The United States Army Test and Evaluation Command is posting this advertisement for the subject position above under the Major Range and Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) Direct-Hire Authority. The chosen candidate will serve as a Quality Assurance Specialist supporting the Resource Management Directorate in the Procurements and Administration Division at Yuma Proving Ground, Yuma, AZ. A selection will be made soon after the closing date. Selection of this position will be made at the GS 12 position grade.

Responsibilities include planning, performing and coordinating quality assurance activities within the contracted support functions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Interpret and analyze contractual requirements and specifications to determine the best and most efficient methods to be employed in evaluating contractor level of performance.
  • Perform quality assurance inspections through site observations, customer feedback, and review of technical evaluator inspections to assure reliability, suitability, and serviceability status of Army owed tactical equipment.
  • Assure that the requirements of the contract are fully met and assures corrective action is initiated and implemented to resolve any deficiencies. Performs analysis and investigations to detect adverse quality trends or conditions and provides solution to improve customer support.
  • Participate in the development and is responsible for implementation of a government surveillance plan.
  • Responsible for providing liaison between contractor, commodity managers, and the Contracting Officer to ensure the terms and conditions of contracts are carried out, and that the interests of the government are protected at all times.
  • Prepare reports and various other contractual documents.

Specialized Experience

One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position.  To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector.  Creditable specialized experience includes:

  • Applying principles, concepts, and methodologies related to the quality assurance functional programs.
  • Experience conducting a government surveillance plan.
  • Applying process-related practices, methods, and techniques such as statistical analysis and quality data analysis in order to evaluate Government and contractor data and determine contractor compliance.

Conditions of Employment

  • The employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance through the duration of your employment.
  • The employee is required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, upon entering the position and annually.
  • This position requires the employee to occasionally travel away from the normal duty station up to 10% of the time.
  • This is an Army Acquisition and Technology Workforce position. The employee must meet DoD 5000.52-M requirements applicable to the duties of the position.
