PLACE OF WORK:
U.S. Army Operational Test Command (USAOTC), Fort Hood, TX
ATEC is participating in an alternate personnel system known as the Acquisition Demonstration Project (AcqDemo). Among other features, the demonstration project replaced GS grade levels with occupational families and pay bands. The band NH-03 is equal to the former GS-12 Step 01 through GS-13 step 10. OTC uses salary control points to allow for differentiation in the level of positions within the same broadband. Therefore, the salary for this position will be set no higher than $122,683 including locality.
ATEC has various incentives that may be available for highly qualified candidates, including recruitment incentives, relocation incentives, student loan repayment, and credit for leave accrual. Incentives may be authorized IAW agency policy.

Job Responsibilities
Acquisition Workforce Demonstration Project Position Requirement Document (For Acquisition Demo Project Only)
- Serve as expert and mentor in the areas of requirement development, design, data collection, data reduction, data analysis, and reporting for operational tests or experiments using scientific methods.
- Perform analysis for major phases of varied equipment/systems using mathematical models, matrices, instrumentation, modeling, and/or simulation. Applies expertise in rigorous methods of scientific inquiry and analysis to design, develop, and adapt statistical and other scientific methods and techniques.
- Develop or analyze modeling/simulation technology for systems/ equipment under test or experimentation. Develop, establish, maintain and/or analyze efficiency and recommend improved systems for the collection, processing, storage, maintenance, and retrieval of test data/information.
- Maintain extensive contacts throughout the organization and with other organizations within the acquisition community in order to arrive at a suitable refinement of the problem, to clarify the issues, and to provide adequate investigation and treatment of the variables.

Specialized Experience
This definition of specialized experience is one year of work performed at the next lower grade/leve/ position in the federal service NH-02/GS-11.
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
